Shore with BlueStanding Together Against GBV: Justice for Jazlin Sea

Ladies of Hope recently stood in solidarity at the Lenasia Magistrate Court in grief, outrage, and unwavering determination following the tragic shooting of young Jazlin by someone who was meant to protect her.

This heart-breaking incident is a painful reminder of the harsh reality of Gender-Based Violence (GBV), which continues to affect countless women and children in our communities.

We stand not only for Jazlin, but for every victim whose voice has been silenced by fear, trauma, or injustice. No child should ever experience violence, and no home should ever be a place of danger.

Shore withWings of Hope Visit Ladies of HopeBlue Sea

On 30 April, Ladies of Hope had the privilege of welcoming the Wings of Hope Care Girls Committee Club from Fred Norman Secondary School.

The visit was especially meaningful as the club shared that their name, Wings of Hope, was inspired by Ladies of Hope and the work being done in the community. They expressed how our mission has shown them the importance of caring for others, offering support, and bringing hope to those in need.

During their visit, the group generously donated sanitary pads to support the women we serve. This thoughtful gesture was their way of giving back and showing appreciation for the impact made in their school and community.

The day was a beautiful reflection of love, unity, and service. It reminded us that when young people are empowered to lead with compassion, meaningful change happens.

We extend our gratitude to the educators, Mrs Kester and Mrs Nkgadima, as well as the club leadership and 32 learners for their kindness, generosity, and commitment to making a difference.

Together, we continue to build stronger communities through hope and compassion.

Open Spaces

On 8 May 2026, we were invited by the Krugersdorp Flying Club for a special aviation experience.

We took 10 children from our feeding scheme, many of whom had never seen an aircraft up close before. The excitement was immediate, pure, and unforgettable.

The day was filled with flights, snacks, laughter, and moments they will carry for a lifetime. Beyond the experience itself, it opened something deeper, a reminder that their dreams are bigger than their current circumstances.

A sincere thank you to the Krugersdorp Flying Club for your generosity and kindness. Opportunities like these don’t just create memories, they shape futures.
